2. Why do you think this product innovation was launched?

Explain what you think might have the consumer insight(s) behind the launch of this product innovation.

 

I think Mophie released their line of charging phone cases as this innovation fills a need felt by a large percent of the population. We all know how much we use our smartphone and with the ever growing uses, we are becoming more reliant on our smartphones. However the battery life doesn't seem to last a day.  The battery is just as important as the smartphone itself. So it is fair to say that Mophie cases fill a large need. I think the creators of Mophie cases had the problem of no battery themselves which prompted them to create the prototype. After the idea of the case, Mophie did a lot of research into what consumers want & need in a phone case...

*Worldwide Shipping

*Protection for the phone

*Large    charging   capacity

*Compatible for a large range of devices

 

 

After looking at consumer insights Mophie set out to fufill every want and need of their consumers. By 2007 Mophie released their first charging phone case.
